UX Process

Paper Sketches - Wireframes

Goal:
The main goal was to design the ProPark homepage so users can quickly start parking and check the remaining time without searching for features.

Simplicity and intuitiveness keep the page clean and straightforward for immediate use.

The goal was to create a simple, user-friendly layout for easy and fast parking management.

Digital wireframes

Goal:
The goal of this project was to design a user-friendly homepage for the ProPark app, emphasizing simplicity and quick access to the most essential features. Key functions include starting a parking session, tracking remaining time, and managing parking history and fines.

Thought Process:
The design was informed by thorough user research, which revealed a strong need for efficiency and ease of use. We prioritized prominently placing the "Start Parking" button, a clear display of Time Remaining, and a Quick Actions section featuring History, Mandates, and Community. The Community feature enables users to share and discover free parking spots in real time, enhancing overall usability. My aim was to create a seamless and intuitive parking experience without overwhelming users with excessive options or distractions.

Mockup

These mockups show the clean and simple design of the ProPark app. Each screen helps users quickly start parking, check remaining time, and manage their parking history and fines. The app has a big “Start Parking” button, a live countdown timer, easy access to history, fines, and community updates, a simple bottom menu, and uses ProPark’s brand colors. It works well on all mobile devices.

Flow

This video demonstrates the seamless user flow of ProPark, highlighting how users can quickly start parking, monitor their session, and access other key features. The flow emphasizes simplicity and efficiency, minimizing friction and making the parking process intuitive and stress-free.

Technologies

For this project, I focused mostly on designing and making prototypes. I used tools to create clear and easy-to-understand mockups:

‍Figma — my main tool for wireframes, UI design, and making interactive prototypes.

‍Adobe Illustrator — for making custom graphics and icons.

‍Basic prototyping methods — to show how users move through the app.I didn’t do any coding or programming in this project.

This let me focus fully on the user experience and how the app looks.

During this work, I learned more about designing for users, got better at making prototypes, and improved how I explain my design ideas.
