Happy Lashes

Happy Lashes is a web design project for a premium beauty brand.

The goal was to create a clean, feminine, and modern interface that feels both luxurious and easy to use.

I focused on building an elegant user experience with clear navigation, soft colors, and a layout that highlights the services without overwhelming the visitor.

Every element was designed to reflect the brand’s values: professionalism, style, and trust.

User Discovery

During the research phase, I discovered that users wanted a clear overview of services and pricing, and the ability to book appointments directly through the website without having to call. This wasn’t just about convenience for the client. It also helped the salon owner: she no longer had to interrupt ongoing treatments to answer the phone.
A well-designed online system increased her professional image, improved workflow, and gave clients a sense of trust and ease.Users also appreciated quick access to directions and the ability to view examples of past work before making a booking decision.

Design Process

Happy Lashes was the first website I ever built for a real client, without formal training, wireframes, or a UX brief.
I relied entirely on my own observation, intuition, and conversations with the salon owner. The main goal was clear to create a simple, beautiful, and functional website that makes it easier for clients to check prices, view work, and book appointments online without interrupting the stylist during treatments.
I focused on clean layout and structure. Soft, feminine colors and fonts. Clear call-to-action and mobile-friendly flow. This project helped me realize how good design can solve real problems - both for users and for business owners.

UX-focused price list - simple, mobile-friendly, and instantly readable.

Visual Design

The design was carefully crafted to reflect the atmosphere of a clean, elegant, and professional beauty studio.
From the very first glance, the user should feel as if she’s stepping into a space that’s both calming and trustworthy, like entering a spotless, modern salon where everything is in perfect order.
I aimed to recreate that feeling online by using:
Light, pastel tones to evoke purity and calm
Minimalist layouts to ensure clarity and focus
Refined typography and spacing to add a sense of care and precision
This visual language helps build trust, highlights, the salon’s professionalism, and ensures the experience feels just as polished as the treatments themselves.

Outcome

The final product is a responsive, user-friendly website that mirrors the clean, calm, and professional experience of visiting the salon in person.

From the user’s perspective, the journey is simple and stress-free:
They can view services, check transparent pricing, and book appointments - all within a few intuitive clicks, without the need to call or wait.

For the salon owner, the site became more than a digital presence. It’s a tool that streamlined her workflow, reduced interruptions, and elevated her brand's image.

By focusing on real user needs and natural behavior, I delivered a design that feels effortless and works seamlessly for both client and customer.

Insights

This was my first real project, created before I completed any official UX certifications. Looking back, I now understand how important it is to plan ahead, sketch ideas, and build wireframes, even on paper. That process doesn’t limit creativity,  it actually unlocks it and brings structure to the interface. Through this project, I also realized the value of well-designed user flows. A beautiful interface means little if it doesn’t guide the user naturally and intuitively. This experience shaped how I approach UX today with more structure, more clarity, and a much deeper understanding of how design can truly serve people. It also made me realize that UX is what I genuinely want to do. That’s why I decided to deepen my skills and enrolled in a certified UX course to build a strong foundation and grow as a designer.
